Spiritual Perfume (روحانی عطر)

The beloved Prophet ﷺ had a deep affection for fragrance. He ﷺ always carried a perfume flask, filled with the finest scents, during his travels. Whenever someone gifted him ﷺ perfume, he ﷺ would always accept it with gratitude. It is narrated by Hazrat Umm Salama (رضی اللہ عنہا) and Ibn Aku' that the Prophet ﷺ would apply musk on His blessed head and beard. While it is a Sunnah to apply perfume on the hair, it is not recommended to apply it directly on the face—only on the beard.

Spiritual Significance of Perfume:

Spiritual perfume (روحانی عطر) carries with it healing and protection. It is loved by the righteous, saints, and spiritual leaders. It is the essence of every pious gathering.
